P Welcome to the Our Savior Lutheran Church web page. If you are just browsing, it is our prayer that you find a good word and the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ within these pages. If you are looking for a church home where you can belong and find hope in your life through the good news of Jesus, please feel welcome to worship with us in the near future. Along with our quality worship there are education and music opportunities which are explained within these pages. It has long been the approach of this congregation that worship should be done decently and in good order. You will find worship at Our Savior to be just that. There is a strong liturgical tradition, yet worship is varied and set in several different musical settings that are used regularly during the church year. A personal word about ministry at Our Savior: Aside from leading worship, my focus in ministry is to enable others to be ministers throughout the community of Bartlesville and in the wider church. Our Savior Lutheran Church has long had a tradition of involvement in the ministries of the community, including ministries of childcare, food pantries, mental health, and addressing issues of justice and equality. A congregation should be measured, not by how much it does for itself, but how much it does for the community in which it exists. I was installed as Pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in February 24, 1994. During the past year the congregation honored me by celebrating my 25th Anniversary of Ordination. I attended college at St. John's College in Winfield, Kansas, received my BA from Concordia Senior College in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and received a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary in Exile and Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. I was married to Sheryl Moberly on June 3, 1979 and have four children: Jennifer, Matthew, Mark, and Elizabeth. We previously served parishes in Grove, Oklahoma and DeQueen, Arkansas before coming to Bartlesville. Please look around our web page and worship with us soon! In Christ, Pastor Jim
